Asal is on cruise mode, aiming
for a Pongal 2010 release. Latest
news from the camp is that the central
villain has just been cast and will
be flying out to France in a few
days to join the schedule. The chosen
one is none other than Chennai 28
and Saroja fame Sampath. After impressive
performances over the past couple
of years, a big one was surely round
the corner for this actor who also
made his Malayalam debut this year.
Being pitted against a charismatic
star like Ajith is not an easy job,
but Sampath has shown that he has
the stuff to pull it off. As reported
earlier, yesteryear actor Suresh
too will be seen in a role with
shades of grey in Asal.
After recent Diwali development,
it has become almost sure that Asal
is on course for a head on with
Vijay’s Vettaikaran for Pongal.
And, latest news is that the Telugu
mega hit Magadheera will be dubbed
and released for the festival season.
With the competition heating up,
the Asal camp too is sure to turn
the heat on and leave no stone unturned
to make it a cracking film.
