Pokkisham at the Mumbai International Film Festival

Pokkisham is all set to be screened at the Mumbai International Film Festival. The film, directed by Cheran, who also plays the male lead, was not a major commercial success but this is a morale booster, says Cheran.

He was quoted by The Hindu as saying, “There have been some criticism about the film and its commercial failure has affected me a lot. This entry into a prestigious film festival is certainly a big morale booster… I had put in a lot of effort to make this movie, which I strongly believe is a new venture in Tamil film industry. Our team made sure the period film has a lot of details to make it more authentic.”

Fourteen Indian films have been chosen to be screened at the Indian Film Showcase and Pokkisham is one among them.
