Why Paruthiveeran and Subramaniapuram had no takers?
October 23, 2009

Ameer says that distributors are not so keen on small budget films and that is the reason for directors opting for big budget films. The director of the smash hit Paruthiveeran revealed that when he approached a distributor with the film he was turned down as several big budget films were in the line up to hit the screens and his film would be lost without a trace.

According to Ameer, films like Paruthiveeran and Subramaniapuram are the trendsetters in the recent times for the directors to consider wielding the megaphone for small budget flicks. Will the newbie directors take cue from director Ameer?
