Oh My God was a highly acclaimed recent film in Bollywood. Starring Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar in lead roles, this movie was a hard-hitting take on many issues related to idol worship, fake godmen and superstitious beliefs. Made on a medium budget, this movie went on to net more than 80 crores at the Indian box-office.
There are talks doing the rounds that Aishwarya Dhanush has plans to remake this movie in Tamil, with her dad Rajinikanth playing Akshay Kumar’s role. Akshay played Lord Krishna and seeing Rajini in the same avatar would be a big treat for Tamil audiences. Known for his spiritual and philosophical nature, Rajini would be the best choice for this role. He had earlier played the role of Lord Raghavendra in his 100th film.
Aishwarya is in talks with Akshay Kumar regarding purchase of the remake rights, it seems. An official announcement in this regard may be expected soon after the completion of Kochadaiyaan.
