A Pakistan-based television channel had entered into an agreement with Shah Rukh Khan for a program in London to raise funds for the flood victims affected in Pakistan and Mumbai. This raked up a controversy in the Mumbai political circles with Bal Thackeray and Raj Thackeray heavily condemning the star for agreeing to perform for a Pakistan TV channel.
There was a call to boycott SRK’s films if he participates in this event. The latest on this issue is that Shah Rukh has been caught up in a film shooting in Berlin, which extended beyond the date fixed by the team; therefore, he could not go to London.
