The successful Vettai is going to Telugu for the remake rights are recently bought by producer Bellamkonda Suresh. Casting is being decided upon and based on the latest news available, Naga Chaitanya and Sunil are selected to play the roles of Arya and Madhavan in the as yet untitled Telugu version.
Suresh is keen on casting Hansika for Amala Paul's role because he shares good rapport with the budding actor who is an up and coming actor in both Tamil and Telugu. Sameera's role will be played by a debutante.
