The trailer and making of the movie Thaandavam were launched today at Inox. Actor Vikram, director Vijay, actress Amy Jackson, music director GV Prakash, lyricist Na Muthukumar along with UTV South's head, Dhananjayan made the occasion lively and showcased the team’s bonding.
Vikram was in his elements and sported a very different look, wearing a cap. When quizzed he said that he cannot reveal his look as he is acting in Shankar’s I.
Though the Thaandavam team tried their best to hide that Vikram is doing a double role in the film, it was obvious that there will be two Vikrams in the film, of which one Vikram will be visually challenged. Vikram will also portray the role of a RAW officer. The actor revealed that the film was inspired by Daniel Krishe, a visually challenged person who has revolutionised the concept of echo location or ‘seeing through sounds’. Director Vijay said that the team is planning to bring Mr Daniel to Chennai and conduct some workshops on the same.
Thaandavam is an action thriller that starts from a village, moves to Delhi and then ends up in London. The film has the credit of being shot in London continuously for 60 days.
