Venkat Prabhu's assistant makes cutting edge film

Venkat Prabhu's assistant, Pa Ranjith has directed a film to be called Attakathi starring newcomers Dhinesh and Shwetha. Dhinesh was seen in Aadukalam and Shwetha is from Bangalore. The film has an interesting premise as it is about a man who approaches life with the attitude that a dummy sword is the real thing.

Music is be Santhosh Narayanan who has trained under AR Rahman. Pramod Varma will be handling cinematography. Shooting was held in and around Chennai and has been completed. The film is gearing up for release and is likely to hit the screens in January.
