Parthiban has written a letter to the Hon’ble Finance Minister of India, Pranab Mukherjee to mint coins bearing the Indian Emblem 2012 at the end of this year and have its denomination as 2012. According to the actor-director-producer, these coins can be bought as gifts by Indians and NRIs and would immensely interest the coin collectors.
The actor says that the idea behind this is to generate more revenue to the government and this practice can be continued for years to come. Will the Union Government implement this suggestion?
