A function for the launch of Kamal Haasan Youth Wing and distribution of various welfare assistances was held at the Maharashtra Nivas Mandapam, Alwarpet on February 6, 2011 at 10 am. Kamal Haasan was present at this function to distribute tailoring machines, financial assistances to a child for her heart surgery and for the widow of one his fans and three-wheeler vehicles for the handicapped.
The event was organized by Kovai R Thangavelu, PRO Nikhil Murugan, Ramesh, Basheer, Shankar and Durai.
