Venkat Prabhu was shocked when it was brought to his notice that the Mankatha songs are available on a web site for free download. Though the director swung into action immediately and traced the guys who had the songs on their web site, scores of Ajith fans had downloaded the songs by then. Venkat Prabhu said that it took him four hours to trace those running the web site but by that time significant damage has been done.
Venkat Prabhu has said that it is disappointing that the songs have been downloaded by several of Ajith fans instead of trying to curb it.
