Well, there are other reasons too why she has not been subject to many controversial observations like many unfortunate actresses of our times. Grapevine always manages to churn out something about an actress and her co-star. But, Asin at most times has shared the screen with senior actors like Suriya (twice), Vijay (twice), Ajith (twice), Vikram (once) and Kamal Haasan (once), which straightway ruled out any possibilities of rumors making the rounds. And, her choices too have defined her well. Maybe she has not waited for the meaty heroine-oriented roles; she has featured in regular commercial entertainers. But even in the midst of commercial fare she has never allowed herself to be relegated to the status of a show piece that just comes for songs and disappears afterwards. Looking at what Asin has managed to do, it would not be wrong to say that she worked herself into a position where any gossipmonger who carried grapevine about her would end up looking foolish.

But, there is more to Asin than just the clean image. We are not sure whether she makes extra efforts to steer clear of controversy or if it comes naturally to her. But, even in the midst of keeping a dignified profile, she has not allowed herself to become a subdued personality; she speaks her mind. Not many people would have the confidence to say aloud that they were disappointed by the way in which Aamir Khan totally overshadowed them. Asin was bold and confident enough to state aloud that she was not happy with the promos and stills of Ghajini which gave her very little publicity. It is not easy for a newcomer to raise an objection to someone as huge as Aamir Khan. But that’s Asin for you - dignified and bold at the same time. A rare combination!
