Director
T P Gajendran is known in the industry as a hero of family
stories as his films have always taken up issues troubling
families which will be resolved with an addition of right
doses of comedy sprinkled. Many of his films have also fared
well at the box office due to its simple and straight forward
narration.
In
Seena Thaana, he has deviated from his routine path
by attempting a slightly different approach wherein
he has combined action with comedy. Without using
the services of highly technical crew or the latest
gizmos, he has churned out a small budget film with
his available resources.
Seena Thaana is the movie for people who are not concerned
about logic and also for people who just want to spend
time happily with friends without giving overtime
for their thought process.
Vadivelu
and his team guarantee the audience with clean comedy
which is thankfully bereft of cheap and vulgar jokes.
A Malayalam film by name CID Moosa could be called
as a source of inspiration but the director should
certainly be credited for rendering the same with
Tamil nativity. Visu who comes as a Governor delivers
a few orders which are certainly rib ticklers of the
highest order.
Vadivelu rocks as always and the sequences where he
encounters with a mottai need to be seen to be enjoyed.
Songs are just average and the Riyaz Khan and Simran
Khan number is certainly intended for the masala section.
Many scenes from Seena Thaana are guaranteed to find
themselves in the comedy programs of television.
