Meera Jasmine has good credentials to her credit and she went on to grab the national award proving her acting prowess in movies. Though she is not in the front line of lead ladies in Tamil industry, she reserves a place and is seen every now and then casting roles that are tailored for her personality. She has never indulged herself in a signing spree and has always been selective when committing movies

Off late though, she has been in the news for quite unfortunate reasons. The reasons seemed to be created by Meera herself.

Her camaraderie with the noted Malayalam director Lohithadas got herself into trouble with her family and her family came to the streets alleging Das for using Meera and her money. When things seemed to have settled for quite a while, Meera made news by entering into the temple in Kannoor – where strictly non-hindus are not allowed. Though she donated money for the ‘parihara pooja’ the news made a splash.

She got into trouble with Balakrishna whom she was playing opposite in a Telugu movie, when she wanted to back out of the movie stating that Balakrishna is likely to misbehave with her. These days though, Meera is caught in the sets badmouthing her heroes. She states that many heroes try to misbehave with her and she snubs them by turning them down. Well, only Meera has an idea as to why she prefers to lodge these allegations, but we hope that she does not have shoddy intention to stay in the news forever for these reasons though.
