Mohanlal
unhappy about Aran |

Aran
which was released last Friday both
in Tamil and in Malayalam (Keerthi
Chakra), has got good review but tangled
itself in controversy. |
|
|
Veteran
actor Mohanlal who plays the
lead role in the movie was upset
about the fact that it was released
in Tamil without him dubbing
his part. Aran is produced by
Super Good films and directed
by Major Ravi who served Indian
army and was involved in the
operation to nab Sivarasan of
Rajiv Gandhi murder case.
Mohanlal says that though he
knew that the movie was made
in Tamil but was totally in
dark about the film being dubbed
in Tamil. |
|
|
If
that is the case, he himself
could have talked in the Tamil
version. Countering the argument
that Mohanlal needed to speak
lengthy Tamil dialogues, the
Malayalam super star retorted
that when he could mouth chaste
Tamil dialogues in Iruvar directed
by Manirathnam, why cannot he
do it here? He feels that any
good actor would want to speak
in his own voice and that’s
when they can connect with the
audience.
When Mohanlal is shown as a
person hailing from Kerala in
Aran, it would be more authentic
if he talked in his own voice.

In
Aran, Rajiv speaks for Mohanlal
and viewers can very easily
make out the missing lip-sync
whenever he speaks.
Mohanlal is surprised about
the fact that despite Major
Ravi being his friend, he did
not say anything on this. “Perhaps
there was some kind of financial
consideration”, he commented.
Aran has some additional scenes
for Jeeva and also some comedy
scenes which are not there in
Keerthi Chakra. |

|
When
Mohanlal was asked if he would see
Aran, he replied in the negative.
Let us all wait and watch if this
kind of publicity would help the movie
in its commercial success. |
