Vadivelu
smokes peace pipe with Uyir Samy |

It
is by now well known that Vadivelu
had publicly condemned the makers
of the movie Uyir for choosing
a theme which according to him
was not fit to be seen by families.
Vadivelu had used very strong
words in letting his feelings
being known. He had gone to
the extent of saying that the
makers of the movie deserved
to be whipped for choosing such
a theme.
Now this had enraged the director
of Uyir who preferred to come
out and hit back at Vadivelu.

He
went on record and publicly
criticized the comedian for
making such comments. The situation
was getting heated up and things
were looking set for a minor
battle to take place.
It has happened many times in
Tamil cinema that a small matter
that was left unattended later
snowballed into a major issue.
This time too things seemed
set to follow the same pattern.
But timely intervention has
come in the form of veteran
director K Balachander.

|
|
He
reportedly called both the battle
ready opponents to his residence and
talked out an amicable resolution.
He then advised them to not mention
anything further about this issue
to the media. Things seem to have
settled down for now. Because it is
a person of the reputation of K Balachander
who has intervened it seems that the
issue is buried for good. |
