Rajni's
fan clubs – trouble brewing steadily! |
|
|
|
“A
small leak will sink a great ship” –
Benjamin Franklin |
|
|
This adage couldn't have been truer
in the case of Rajinikanth and his
fan clubs. At one point, Rajinikanth's
fan clubs were known for their strict
adherence to the words of the star,
but today, one of his ardent fans
has sent him a legal notice.
We had reported earlier that Rajini
was taking action against some of
his fan club members who had disobeyed
his words during the assembly elections,
by not maintaining neutrality.
|
|
|
By
participating actively in the election campaigns,
they earned the wrath of the star, with
the All India fan club president, Sathyanarayana,
evicting them out of the fan club. Angry
members pasted posters all across South
TamilNadu condemning Sathyanaryana. But,
since no steps were taken to mitigate the
angry fans, the humiliated fans have sent
a notice to Rajinikanth himself, beseeching
him to take them all back into the club. |
|
This notice has been sent to Rajini, Sathyanarayana,
Ulaganathan, Secretary for the Coimbatore
district Rajini fan club, and other fan
club office bearers as well. Lawyer Abu
Backer has sent this notice on behalf of
Maveeran Rajin Fans Association president
Abu, and Priyan Rajini Fan Club president,
Soundarapandian.
The statement basically states: “Rajini
fan club president Sathyanarayana has sent
a letter to my clients, asserting that the
notice is being sent with Rajini's permission.
|
|
|
This
has resulted in deep emotional problems with
my clients, wounding them greatly, as they
have running the registered fan club for years. |
|
|
Whenever Rajini's film releases, they
spend a lot of time, energy and money
to ensure the success of the film
by promos and ads, and they have been
actively involved in many social activities
like Anna Dhanam, blood donation camps,
etc.
In the last assembly elections, there
were great expectations among his
fans on his political stand. But as
always, Rajini maintained silence.
My clients, along with other fans,
even made the effort to try and meet
with Rajni to understand his point
of view and to know what he feels.
|
|
|
But
Rajni never met them and nor did Sathyanarayana
help towards facilitating such a meeting.
To catch Rajini's attention, they even gave
interviews in many popular magazines and
dailies, but to no avail. |
