Kamal gives new persona to the cop
Kamal
Any role that Kamal plays, he brings a new and hitherto unseen look. Right from his days playing the angry young man or the action hero, Kamal has portrayed his characters with uniqueness. He has played many cop roles before such as in Kakki chattai or Vikram, but in his forthcoming Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu, he plays the modern, tech savvy and urbane officer. Yet, he has not shirked from impressive action sequences, thanks to Peter Haynes. He defies his age and has performed the stunts with aplomb.

‘‘Director Gautham Menon’s picturisation is wonderful. VV is a stylish action film. The action sequences composed by Peter Haynes will definitely bowl the audience over.
I am confident the film will be the highlight of my career. We all have worked hard and it is now for the Tamil speaking viewers to make it a success. I enjoyed the stint and Manickam Narayanan has really done a good job,” says Kamal Haasan.
‘‘Gautham has good music sense. I was introduced as music director through his Cheli. All the six songs in the film are composed in eclectic style. Music will make a definite contribution to the success of the film,’’ says Haris Jayaraj.

Jyotika, who has shared frames with almost all the top stars, says, ‘‘I am happy for having acted with a genius like Kamal Haasan. There is a lot to learn from him. The director has the power over artistes. I am playing a performance-oriented character and hope this film too would fetch me an award.

"I consider myself lucky to have produced a film in which Kamal has acted, directed by Gautham Menon. The value gets enhanced with the involvement of Harris Jeyaraj and Ravivarman," producer Seventh Channel Narayanan on his part added.

VV has been filmed in the US and India. Most of the shooting is over and a few patchwork scenes have also been completed.
Talking about the experience of shooting in the US, cinematographer Ravi Varman said that he shot some scenes hanging from a helicopter. Of course, the Rollvision camera and Super 35mm film are the other firsts in Tamil cinema used in VV.

Jyothika is quite excited about the film as is Kamalini Mukherjee who said that Kamal was a walking, talking encyclopedia of cinema. Jo hoped that her performance would bring in an award for her. Music by Harris Jayaraj is simply mindblowing stuff.

The best news for Kamal fans is that VV would be called in Telugu as Magadheera.

Kamal has a huge fan following in Telugu also and the success of the film would make Gautham a popular director there as well.
