Look
at Sneha and for one time, you feel
that her smile these days is genuine.
Yes, she has shed off her blues that
the sordid Nag Ravi affair had generated.
Sneha blazed her way through numerous
films in Tamil and Malayalam, and
her performances in the handful of
Telugu films left an indelible mark.
A discovery of Fazil, Sneha is her
own person. |
|
|
Maybe,
working in the Malayalam field has
helped her in this attempt. She starred
with Mamooty in Thuruppukullan and
back in Andhra, her Nagarjuna starrer
Sri Ramadasu is doing roaring business.
She is also all set to work with Megastar
Chiranjeevi and Yuva Ratna Balakrishna.
She also has signed up a film opposite
Victory Venkatesh.
Back at home in the Tamil field, Sneha
is eager looking forward to the release
of Pudhupaettai, a movie in which
she plays the challenging role of
a prostitute. |
|
|
|
|
It
must be remembered that Sneha is a
talented in acting as she is good
looking.
"If the film doesn't charge me
or if I don't relate to the character
I am playing, I won't do it and an
absolute no to showing skin. I look
glamorous in a salwar kameez and in
a sari. My comfort level on the sets
depends on the dress I wear,"
says Sneha. |

In
Kannada she became the first recipient
of Soundharya Award, an Award instituted
in memory of actress late Soundarya
by the Kannada Lalith Kala Academy.
In Tamil, she has received the Kalaimamani
Award.
So it is all a different life for
Sneha. At home, folks are looking
for a suitable boy for the smiling
beauty but, will Sneha cut short her
career and marry a person of her parents’
choice? That is a question only Sneha
can answer. She was not willing to
when we asked her. |
|
|
|
|
Only
25, she has a sensible head on her
shoulders and a no-nonsense air about
her. All the rumours about an affair
with a co-star and an impending marriage
have taken a back seat.
Sneha doesn't believe in the rat race
and says that if you are destined
to do a particular film, it will definitely
come to you. She believes that there
is no point in signing a lot of films.
|
|
|
"The
three-and-a-half years I spent in this industry
taught me a lot — right from the way
I am supposed to sit, to what I am supposed
to speak."
Surely, Sneha has come a long way. From
a raw and an untrained starlet, she has
metamorphosed into a confident established
actress. |
