Regarded as the best Wrestler in the world, AJ Styles would shock the world, ending all the rumors surrounding his WWE career, debuting in Royal Rumble 2016. He would engage in a feud with Chris Jericho until WrestleMania. Styles would then go on to become the no 1 contender for Roman Reigns’ WWE World Title and would produce a couple of Five-Star matches with Reigns, coming short on both occasions. Styles would go on to enter a feud with John Cena and would end up pinning the face that runs the place cleanly in the middle of the ring in 2016 Summerslam PPV.  The 'Phenomenal One' would then beat Dean Ambrose to win the WWE World Title, a run that ended at Royal Rumble 2017 in yet another classic with John Cena.
