First things first - You have to appreciate Vikram & Vijay for giving a quality film.
Story - It is about a mentally challenged person whose mental growth is equal to a child of age 5, has a daughter (how is it possible is a question mark which is answered in the film itself - Answer : To make things happen when two people are involved, it is enough if one of them is thorough with the process). The girl grows with the father till the age of 5, and is separated and taken away by her grand father, who runs a chain of schools across the state. Anushka, a lawyer meets Vikram and knowing the plight of his life decides to take legal steps to unite Vikram & his daughter. As the law says, a mentally challenged person cannot be the sole caretaker of a child - what would be the end is the story.
Cast & Crew - It is a delight to watch that little girl (Vikram’s daughter) and she gives us joy and sorrow. Anushka is lovable as always. Vikram should be praised for his acting skills. Santhanam is the only person who makes us laugh in this slow paced movie. Nasser, Amala Paul, Bhaskar and others are present and do the job what they were supposed to. On the technical side, editing is fine, photography and music has nothing extraordinary.
Comments - The first half tests your patience. It is like watching a Tortoise on Slow Motion. Though the director has no other options to show the bond between the father and girl, the viewers are tested to their limit. Second half is ok, as the script tries to the keep the viewers guessing.
Verdict - If you have enough time and are a sentimental person who does not bother about slow moving movies, then go for it.
