'Jeyam'Raviis
a bright and promissing star in the industry.
There is always certain importance
to symbolism. That is what one must infer from
Jeyam Ravi’s career. His film debut was
with Jeyam meaning success. The film had a simple
story and Ravi became popular overnight as the
romantic cum action hero. The lad who has cinema
running through his veins, courtesy father Mohan
who is an ace film editor. Mohan launched his
son in Jeyam and following the success cast
him in the next film, M. Kumaran, s/o. Mahalakshmi.
The unconventional storyline besides the wonderful
screen presence of Nadia made the film a runaway
hit. Jeyam Ravi teamed up well with Nadia who
played his mother and the sentimental scenes
between mother and son and father(Prakashraj)
and son were the icing on the cake. He proved
that he was not merely good looking but a good
performer too. The industry was agog about the
new kid on the block and for the audience who
were starved of handsome heroes, the tall guy
did show much promise.
An actor who has a keen eye for good stories,
has so far preferred to work only under his home
banner. His first film for an external producer,
Dass did not do well. Dass had an action-oriented
story but it was felt by the audience that the
heroism was overdone. He is banking much on his
current project, Unakkum enakkum something something
which is again directed by his lucky mascot, elder
brother Raja. Ravi is talented in emoting, dance
and action. Not many know that he can also sing
well. But for all the star attractions, he is
quite a simple and down to earth person and is
rarely seen in filmi get togethers. He is quite
a private person and not believe in bragging about
himself. He prefers to let his films do all the
talking. He is keen to innovate and has expressed
his desire to work with any director who comes
up with a convincing script. Here is a bright
and promising star in the industry.
