and final verdict. |

Vijay’s
Aathi being postponed by a day has favored
Ajith’s Parmasivan to an extent, as
the tickets booked for Aathi were given
preference of repayment or watching Parmasivan.
Audience preferred the latter option of
viewing Ajith’s return. With most
of them giving an affirmative approval,
for the Ultimate Star’s performance,
there were mixed reactions as well. Thalapathy
fans who were eager to see his film ended
up watching Thala on Pongal day! But everyone
seems to like Ajith as Subramaniam Siva.
Most of them seem to vouch for Utlimate
Star out of sympathy

As
per the theatre statistics Devi (1238 seats)
and Abirami (996 seats) Annai, Shakti (500
+ each) saw an identical trend in ticket
booking with black tickets for both films
selling like hot cakes. As for Devi theatre
80 Rs ticket was sold for 200. In Albert
(while the first show of the day was going
on.) 80 Rs ticket ranged between 220-250.
Meanwhile theatres in suburb of Chennai,
had no galore at all. In Devi Karumari at
Virugambakkam, tickets for Paramasivan and
Saravana were available at the counter itself.
The same scenario prevailed for Aathi at
Thiagaraja in Thiruvanmiyur.

On the whole, Ajith’s come back with
Paramasivan as an action hero has been impressive
with a fair hold. However, quite a few audience
of Paramasivan felt that the story line
is similar to that of Arjun’s Jai
Hindh which released decades ago. For Little
Superstar’s Saravana it is a usual
K.S.Ravikumar formula with customary scenes
and masala. As for Vijay’s Aathi,
general opinion prevailing among the public
is that it doesn’t cater to all age
group. It is a typical commercial movie
with kuthu pattu and punch dialogues. But
we will have to wait for few more days before
we get a final verdict on the movie

So the total panorama is that Ajith as Parmasivan
has faired well with his exquisite presentation.
For Vijay it has been the same with his
cluster of fans, clouting dialogues and
over the top fight sequences. He would live
as Aathi for his aficionado until his next
film…
