Though Surya had three releases (Mayavi, Ghajini
and Aaru), it was Ghajini which took him to
the pinnacle. But the best part about Surya
is that, all the three characters which he selected
this year were different from one another. In
Mayavi he played a comical character, Ghajini
was a performance packed one and in Aaru he
played the role of a local goon.
His
selection of roles definitely should get a special
mention here. He is one actor who is striving
for variety rather than mass success. His performance
in the movie Ghajini was matchless and his eyes
were a big plus for him. At the same time in
Aaru, he played a ruffian character for which
he shaped his body to fit the character. Watch
