Bala’s Naan Kadavul? This was
a question that had troubled many
people for a long time. It all ended
in a big fracas that ignited the temper
of Ajith fans and many actors. Bala
and producer Thenappan reportedly
tried to force a few crores out of
Ajith’s pocket in ways that
do not agree with propriety. This
was after they had decided to drop
Ajith from the project and replace
him with some actor who charged less
than 50 lakhs.
The
fact that they had paid Ajith a sum in advance
does not justify their actions. There are very
specific rules regarding payments and projects.
There had been speculations that Ajith would meet
the CM and make a formal complaint, but Ajith
decided to let the matter settle down. There were
talks about an all powerful financier who calls
the shots in the industry being behind the entire
episode.
