2006 – the year passed in the
blink of an eye! While it was a year
of mixed and varied performances at
the box office, a few stars did manage
to hit the bull’s eye of popular
and commercial success. The year witnessed
unexpected hits, as well as much-hyped
flicks biting the dust and proving
to be grand flops. Of course there
was the ongoing struggle of quality
cinema vying with commercial potboilers
for a share of the box office.
On
the whole, it was an exciting, wide-ranging year
for the film fraternity.

and unfortunate, in 2006. What follows is a gallery
of the significant personalities who graced the
screen, fueled the gossip, and kept us on the
edges of our seats in the just-finished year.
