Yuvan’s music in Arinthum Ariyamalum

Yuvan Shankar Raja was the hottest music director this year and all his eight releases did good business in cassette sales. Arinthum Ariyamalum was one of the highlight albums of this year. The movie was directed by Vishnuvardhan who was a school friend of Yuvan and so they share a great mutual understanding. The album had five songs and the song Theepidika was a big hit with the young crowd.
The song was sung by Anuksha and Premji and their voices were also one of the major reasons for the success of the song. The specialty in this song is it starts with an old song of Thiyagaraja Bhagavathar and slowly picks up its pace with a racy tune from Yuvan. The interludes were especially peppy. Kudos to Yuvan for his inimitable execution of the score.
