The renowned song sequence of Thangamagan
with Superstar Rajinikanth and Poorinam
Bhagyaraj is being mimicked by Simbu and
Jothika in the movie Saravana, directed
by K.S.Ravikumar. Simbu who is well known
for aping Rajinikanth had stopped doing
so in his last few movies. But since the
entire Tamil cinema world is now cast
under the magic spell of the Superstar,
Simbu decides to gain few mileages.
A song sequence with him being dressed
up as Rajinikanth and Jothika as Poorinam
was shot for the movie. The movie is almost
over with final few touch up work still
remaining. Its worth mentioning that a
fight sequence in the movie, had a car
driven by Simbu being chased by around
30 sumos. This shot was canned under the
supervision of Kannal Kannan with the
help of 6 cameras.
