Movie stars acquiring screen names is not new. But, in the past few years, there has been a growing craze for changing their names according to the advice of the numerologist. For example, the irrepressible T.Rajendar who had been going through a lean patch, has now changed his name to T. Vijayarajendhar.

Now, that is a mouthful! But, success has eluded him nevertheless. One was quite surprised to see promos for Vijay’s forthcoming film, Adhi. It showed his father, who is also the producer, as having acquired a new spelling – S.A. Chandrasekara. His mother has taken on Shobha Chandrasekara. We only hope the additional a in the name brings in good tidings.
