made up for an enjoyable comedy. He portrayed
the helplessness of a spurned lover with
trademark humor. Enthused by the hit, the
film was remade in Telugu with Mohanbabu,
Abbas and Charmi. But the Telugu version
received only a lukewarm response. A major
reason could be that Mohanbabu did not match
Sathyaraj in body language or dialogue delivery.
