far Tamil cinema goes,
actors have a perennial
life. They continue
to be heroes even
after crossing their
prime. For example,
Rajinikanth,
Kamal
Hassan,
Vijayakanth, Satyaraj
and so on have been
around for more than
25 years and yet have
a fervent audience.
This is not the case
of heroines who have
a short shelf life.
They rule the roost
for 6 or 7 years at
the most and retire
