Music Review : Thavamai thavamirundhu
thavamaithavamirundhu

Cheran returns after a long break following the success of Autograph Again, the director himself has performed as a hero. His co-star is Padmapriya, the fresh face brought to Kollywood from Malluwood.
The album has six songs for which the music has been scored by Sabesh-Murali, sons of the renowned music director Deva. The songs are very soothing to hear and they touch a chord in our hearts.

1) Oru Murai Thaan: (Unni Menon)
A pathos song! The lyrics of the song have been penned beautifully to state the problems after love marriage in one’s life. Unni Menon stands high with his ecstatic voice. The orchestration is very smooth exactly matching the song. Anyone who hears this song will surely be attracted to its pleasantness.
Rating: 8.5/10

2) Antha Ulandha Maram: (Jayamurthi)
A typical village song! The start given to the song is simply superb. Initially, the song doesn’t have any music and after some time it starts off with beats. The voice of the singer Jayamurthi is fresh and very energetic. His enunciation is also good which is somewhat rare these days. He has a lot of scope in the future. The music directors have tuned the music in a right fashion.
Rating: 8/10

3) Aavaram Poove: (Madhu Balakrishnan)
A sad song! The song is a short one running for about two minutes. The song goes very slowly without too much of ups and downs. Madhu’s voice is very pleasing to hear. There is nothing special from the orchestration point of view.
Rating: 7/10

4) Unnai Charanadainthen: (Kalyani, Piranna)
A classical melody! The song can be said to be the best song of the album and kudos to the music directors. The use of saxophone can be said as the highlight of this song. Both the singers have rendered the song with perfect harmony. These two singers Kalyani and Piranna have added grandeur to the song. The song would surely top the charts of the year.
Rating: 9/10

5) Oru Oru Urukulla: (Sabesh, Jayakumar)
A relaxing song! Again, the lyrics of the song get the credit. The song says about the affection between the parents and their children. The music director has himself sung the song and his voice is quite interesting to hear. Thanks to the music director for bringing back the traditional music of the Tamilians.
Rating: 8/10

6) Enna Soligirai: (Yugendran, Suchitra)
A duet song! The music is fantastic and it has all ingredients required for the duet song. Yugendran has got a break with this song after a long time and surely he would receive many offers after this. For, the first time Suchitra’s voice has been experimented in a different manner and it is appealing. Till this song she used to sing very high pitched songs.
Rating: 8/10

Overall Rating:
Cheran has impressed once again with beautiful songs composed by Sabesh and Murali. The songs are assured a hit.
Rating: 8/10
