Om Puri is now back donning the role of Zia
Ul Haq, the erstwhile Pakistani dictator, in Mike
Nichols directed, Charlie Wilson’s War.
In this movie, he will be sharing the screen space
with Hollywood biggies, Oscar winners Tom Hanks
and Julia Roberts. His last attempt at playing
a shopkeeper of Pakistani origin in the UK movie
East is East won him accolades from all quarters.
He will also be seen in Jag Mundhra’s Shoot
at Sight, based on the Islamic terror attacks
in the UK, where he plays the role of fundamentalist
Maulvi, along with Naseeruddin Shah. Wonder why
Indian talents never get due recognition back
home?
