Amitabh Bachchan’s career seems to be
scaling greater heights with each passing
weekend. The variety of roles that he is being
offered might make any lead actor go green
with envy. But then one must also say that
he must be having a tremendous amount of confidence
and gumption to accept the roles that are
coming his way.

This summer, especially May and June are going to witness
Amitabh Bachchan hitting theaters in three radically avatars.
This is a glimpse of what you are going to get.
Releasing first will be the light hearted love story Cheeni
Kum where Big B will be seen alongside Tabu and Paresh
Rawal. In this movie Amitabh plays a 60 year old chef
who falls in love with a 35 year old lady being played
by Tabu. Paresh Rawal plays Tabu’s father. The film
is tipped to have many hilarious moments and claims to
bring out a Bachchan that we have never seen. True, Big
B has never played a chef in his 30 year long career.
Next up will be Shootout at Lokhandwala which is of course
a cop-gangster movie. Amitabh will be playing the routine
cop role here; honest, straightforward and of course angry.
This type of a role was Amitabh’s living in the
70’s and 80’s and should be by all means a
cakewalk for him.
The third one will be the most startling of them all.
Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom, where Amitabh is making a special
appearance in a very important role. Well, we have no
clue what the role will be. The only thing that we can
say here is that the promos suggest something ‘crazy-
out of the ordinary’. The promos have shown Bachchan
in a get up that is….. well, hard to describe. He
is sporting a white beard, wearing a hat that looks half
Mexican with two feathers sticking out on the sides; he
looks somewhere between flashy and crazy. Only someone
with great confidence can take up such a role at 60+ years.
All the best Big B. You are set to get even bigger.
