year, Akshaya Trithiya is a day when thousands of marriages take place across North India. There cannot possibly be a better date for a marriage to take place.
Nothing much about the marriage except the date, the bride and the bridegroom is known. The venue has not yet been decided or disclosed. It will be a small family affair attended by close friends like Anil and Tina Ambani and Amar Singh. The ceremonies are likely to be spread out over three days, culminating in the marriage on April 20. Though no Bollywood bigwigs have been invited for the wedding, a grand reception for the entire film industry has been planned out. The rights for covering the wedding have reportedly been sold to an international media company.
The wedding date was apparently advanced because of the condition of Amitabh's mother Teji, who is being treated at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai.
No worries! We will keep you updated on every development in the run up to Bollywood's biggest celebration of 2007.
