A very different combination. A story that
revolves around the fortunes of a NASCAR driver
and his family. This is what Tara Rum Pum
is going to be all about. In case this is
the first time you are hearing about Tara
Rum Pum, it is a movie under the Yashraj banner
that stars Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee,
two kids and has been directed by Siddharth
Anand of Salaam Namaste fame.

Tara Rum Pum will be the first big summer release of this
year. The promos of the movie hit TV screens for the first
time last week and one must say that it looks very very
impressive. One can immediately identify the happy nuclear
family atmosphere that has been captured and Saif, Rani
and the two kids look very convincing and adorable as
the little closely knit family. Then Saif is shown in
red overalls, gloves, crash helmet and all walking towards
a red car; NASCAR. You can feel the excitement build up
and then come the racing scenes which one must say matches
up to Hollywood standards.
That comes as no surprise as two Hollywood technicians
have been involved in the filming of these sequences.
The race scenes, especially the crashes (that are inevitable
in a NASCAR race) seem better than the ones that we saw
in the Tom Cruise starrer ‘Days of Thunder’.
After a seemingly horrific crash the tears begin to roll
down and it looks like an emotional roller coaster ride
from then on. A man’s fight to overcome his past.
That’s what the promos suggest. Try to catch the
Tara Rum Pum promo on TV and guess what the story is about.
You will definitely want to watch the movie.
For those of you who are not familiar with NASCAR, it
is a racing league in USA which is a bit slower but definitely
more dangerous than F1. Former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya
is currently driving in the NASCAR series.
