Bollywood queen Rani Mukherjee celebrated
her 29th birthday on Wednesday. There were
no 'celebrations' as such, but wishes from
her fans, friends and well wishers just kept
flowing in from all around. This is Rani's
tenth year in the film industry after she

noticed in 1998 for her performances in Kuch Kuch Hota
Hain and Ghulaam. She had earlier done a film in 1997
which had been a washout.
Currently considered to be the top lady in Bollywood along
with Preity Zinta, Rani shows no signs of slowing down.
She is as busy as ever with Tara Rum Pum with Saif Ali
Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariyan in the making.
She is a favorite with all the big directors and big banners
of the industry and is almost a sure inclusion in any
Karan Johar movie. What else could an actress ask for
in an industry that is presumed to be dominated by the
male leads? Rani, the name is appropriate for the queen
of Bollywood.
