This incident will either put the actor/star or the production house involved in their place. The actor in question is Salman Khan, who was in talks for a movie with Yashraj Films, arguably Bollywood's biggest banner. News is that Yashraj Films had requested Salman to reduce his

acting fee a bit for this movie. After all, Salman has not been having good times recently and his last two movies were miserable flops. Salman was keen to do the movie and agreed to cut his pay which is between 5 and 6 crores. But Yashraj was not happy even with the reduced figure and approached Salman for a further cut. Salman was apparently not amused and immediately quoted a rate that is much higher than his normal pay. Yashraj Films sure would have felt snubbed. The Yashraj-Salman project now hangs in the balance.
Hits or flop, Salman Khan is Salman Khan and can still bring crowds to theaters and a banner as big as Yashraj need not have asked him to cut his pay.
