In another instance of a Bollywood babe making a move to Hollywood, Mallika Sherawat has signed on to do a movie titled 'Unveiled'. The movie will be directed by first timer Billy Bannerman. This was announced formally at a press meeting held on Saturday. The role is quite a clinch for Mallika as other
actresses considered for the role include Aishwarya Rai and Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz. So what is it that made the Hollywood producers plump for Mallika? The producers were not forthcoming with the answers at the press meet.
This will be Mallika's second Hollywood outing after 'The Myth' with Jackie Chan. However her role in 'The Myth' was a 'blink and you miss it' type. This time, her role in 'Unveiled' is said to have more importance. It is being touted as a full length role of a Muslim terrorist. One wonders whether Mallika's face will be hidden at all times behind the veil.
Whatever is the case, there is no denying the fact that this will be a big chance for Mallika to be seen on the world stage and if she does well, then she stands a good chance of launching herself big time into Hollywood. After all, she has got what it takes to be hot property.
