Friday releases: With a bang and through the backdoor

There are two releases lined up for today. One has announced itself loudly enough for almost the entire world to hear while the other has chosen to make a pretty nondescript arrival. The Amitabh Bachchan starrer Nishabd and the Saif-Sanjay starrer Nehle Pe Dehla are the ones breaking into theaters.
Both of them have one thing in common. They have faced legal problems before the release. Nehle Pe Dehla has been facing troubles for a long time and must have arrived a lot earlier. But now after overcoming all the hurdles it comes out of the blue, when no one was expecting it to. Nishabd had a smooth ride for most of the time but just a day prior to its release someone filed a case against the movie at the Delhi high court. However the High court rejected the petition and gave the go ahead to Nishabd.
Now Nishabd and Nehle Pe Dehla clash at the box office. Not exactly a clash, both the movies are light years apart in concept and will have their own core audiences to fall back on. Also, there is not much existing competition that they have to contend with. The playground is clear with only Honeymoon Travels having made an impression in the past week.
