The multiplex strike, which began
in the month of February, finally
came to an end early this morning
(June 5, 2009). This news was confirmed
by a fax message by the production
house UTV Motion Pictures to the
IANS. The message read, “Strike
Over. Movies to release next week...
Awaiting more details.” Our
sources also confirm that the strike
has indeed been called off after
the producers and the multiplex
owners have reached an agreement
to share the profits. Official confirmation
on the profit sharing details is
awaited.
With the strike over it is now believed
that that films could hit the screens
from June 12th onwards.
