Rani Mukherjee - true to her name - is the
reigning queen of bollywood. Her repertoire
is enviable with big hits like Black, Hum
Tum and Chalte Chalte and many more to her
credit. Rani is always open to do any roles
and she has done glamourous roles in Bunty
aur Bubli, Hum tum and Ghulam to name a few.

But, as it seems, suddenly Rani is eying on unconventional
roles off late. After playing a prostitute in Mangal pandey
opposite Aamir khan, now she will be seen as a call girl
in the upcoming Lage chunari main daag directed by Pradeep
sarkar of Parineeta fame and produced by Yash raj films
and in Saawariya directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Any
reasons for Rani trying such roles in her peak? Is it
the coveted national awards that she is eying ? Remember
Tabu received her National award for her breathtaking
role in Chandni Bar as a Bar Dancer. Maybe Rani is following
Tabu's footsteps to grab recognition nationally.
