Bollywood diva Bipasha Basu will be getting
the chance of her lifetime to get noticed
globally. This one could prove to be a ‘Ticket
to Hollywood’ (the now popular song
from the not so popular Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom).
After all it is no ordinary thing to share
stage with two Oscar winners, one of whom
has portrayed Mahatma Gandhi on screen. Bipasha
will be getting this rare opportunity on July
the 7th.

The occasion will be the announcement of the newly elected
7 wonders of the world after nearly two months of worldwide
voting. Bipasha will be hosting the announcement function
alongside Ben Knigsely (Gandhi of Richard Attenborough’s
film titled Gandhi) and Hilary Swank (two time Academy
award winner for Boys don’t cry and Million Dollar
baby)
The function will take place at the Benefica stadium of
London and will presumably be attended by the biggest
names in almost every field; the guest list has not been
revealed as yet. However it has been confirmed that the
show will have performances by leading artistes in the
field of dance and music, the most popular name in the
list being Jeniffer Lopez. The lone Indian nomination
on the list of possible wonders is the Taj Mahal and Bipasha
basu will be the lone Indian presence on stage during
the function.
How or why exactly Bipasha was chosen for this honor is
not sure; especially in the presence of more famous international
figures in Bollywood like Aishwarya Rai and ‘Big
Brother’ fame Shilpa Shetty to name a few. Whatever
be the reason, Bipasha is going to enjoy her stint at
international acclaim. But for now the only thing that
must be on our minds is- Have we voted for the Taj Mahal
as yet. If you have not yet, then you have around a week
left to do it.
