Three As to battle it out next Friday
By Behindwoods News Bureau.
June 21, 2007
Bollywood’s biggest weekend in the month of June will have the three As battling it out for supremacy at the box office. The biggest weekend of June; that if you discount the weekend where six films released together even though they were small films that were almost sure to be wither away with the arrival of Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom which they finally did.
Awaraapan
Interestingly Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom too is slowly withering away and indications are that the three As are not going to have to contend seriously with JBJ when they release.

Now we will tell you all about the three As. Those of you who keep an eye on the happenings of Bollywood might be aware of what these are.

A1- Aap Ka Suroor- starring Himesh Reshammiya and Mallika Sherawath (in a 10 minute role) and another heroine whom no one is noticing. The film’s music has already become hugely popular and is expected to get the film off to a decent start and in case you are wondering who the hero is then don’t doubt. It is the same Himesh Reshammiya; the singer who is called the Nasal wonder, the same guy scoring the music for Dasavataaram.

A2- Aawaraapan- starring Emraan Hashmi and Shriya. The Bhatt camp and Emraan Hashmi seem to be working together almost constantly. This movie should be of interest to people down south too after being captivated by her beautiful looks in Shriya. Music will be playing a pivotal part in this movie too.

A3- Apne- starring the Deol family (Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby) in what looks like an Indianised family version of Rocky. When you have Garam Dharam and his even more Garam Sunny in the same movie you know what you are going to get. Action, man to man style. Its going to be raw punches, jabs and all that in the ring; interesting right.

So what’s your pick. The musical (A1), the cross border romance (A2) or the fists of fury (A3). Who will end up as No.1; tough to tell.
