It was
a very good film and all those who got to
see it at the film festivals were left guessing
why this maverick filmmaker hasn’t
come out with a full-length feature film
after Don.
Now all of his fans can relax, as they
will not only get to see this director’s
movie but also see him feature in two films
in his new avatar as actor. He will be playing
the lead in Abhishek Kapoor’s Rock
On, in which he has even rendered his voice
for a song and later he will feature in
his sister Zoya Akhtar’s Luck By Chance,
which is all set to start rolling in April.
Finally, Farhaan Akhtar has announced his
directorial venture Voice from the Sky,
which deals with the communication industry
during the period when telephone made its
advent into the country as a new means of
communication. The director said that this
story was conceived a long time ago but
feels this is the right time to make it,
as the audiences are receptive to such themes
now and with the growing multiplex culture
facilitating good reception for such films.
Farhaan can rest assured that his film,
if well packaged, will be received well.
The response Taare Zameen Par is getting
is testimony to this.
