What drew our attention was the fact that she has chosen to play a comic character in the satirical comedy Mahadev directed by Shyam Benegal. She says the offer from the legendary director fulfilled her long pending desire to act under his direction after she saw Zubeida. The actress adds that she is now almost addicted to comedy and feels compelled to do more such roles. Amrita was recently seen in a Telugu film which went on to become a huge success. However the actress denies any plans of moving to south. She will also be seen in a thriller titled Shortcut directed by Neeraj Vohra. That sure sounds like a handful… great going Amrita!
