Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. has released and the thus far it has received a fractured verdict. It is not one of those films with which you want to take chances and predict a victory or otherwise. The critics seem to have given a unanimous verdict however. Most of them have shown the thumbs down for the film.

Coming from the Farhan Akthar factory, the expectations from this multistarrer have been high. It is quite obvious that the film does not live up to the high standards of Farhan Akthar's previous projects.
From the six pairs that go on the honeymoon, ironically, the Boman Irani-Shabana Azmi pair seems to be most romantic (the much publicized kiss not being the only reason). The movie is not any statement on 'How to have a successful married life'. It is just supposed to be a two hour something fun capsule to make people feel nostalgic about their honeymoon. The critics may have not liked it that much but it stands a good chance with the audiences who have been looking forward to a nice romantic movie after the big disappointment of Salaam-e-Ishq. Honeymoon Travels has also come after three weeks of really serious cinema; Traffic Signal, Parzania, Black Friday and Undertrial. The audience might just like the contrast.
Contrary to expectations of just a decent start, Honeymoon Travels has taken a really good opening across cities and in the UK. Looks like the movie will bring back the money that has been invested. However, the real status will emerge after the movie leaves the comfort of the multiplexes and moves to the single screens.
Summing things up, one unit member said that this is one movie you have to watch if you are unmarried and want to learn 'What not to do on a Honeymoon'.
