critical review
of the Big B’s award winning performance
in the film Black and had even gone ahead
and passed some comments on the way the protagonist,
a physically challenged kid, was portrayed.
Aamir’s remarks were in response
to a question raised by one of the reporters
during the promotion of his film Taare Zameen
Par. The actor later made it clear that
it was unintentional and wasn’t directed
personally against Big B whom he considers
his source of inspiration and is one of
the reasons he is in films today. And Aamir’s
damage control measure was evident this
Friday. Teji Bachchan, mother of Amitabh
Bachchan, who was ill for quiet some time
passed away on Friday (21-12-2007). Aamir,
along with wife Kiran Rao, took time off
his film promotion, flew down to Mumbai
and headed straight to Prateeksha, the Bachchan’s
residence, to offer condolences to the star.
They had reached his place at 11:15 pm and
sources say they were with him for almost
an hour. Isn’t that what friends are
for, to stand by your side in times of crisis?
Aamir sure has his PR skills in place. |
