Ash and Abhi force Saif to refuse
August 04, 2009

Saif Ali Khan revealed that he declined to be a part of the gay-themed Dostana because Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were supposed to star in it. The actor, in a recent television interview, recalled that he thought he would not fit in the role with such a huge star cast. He said during the show, “I didn't really chicken out - I mean I just thought, I think there was Abhishek and Aishwarya in the movie at the time I was being offered it and I was just wondering how I would fit in, and I told Karan that.” The actor said that he was not scared of acting in a gay themed venture and would have done the role boldly.

It is worth mentioning here that Ash was finally replaced by Priyanka Chopra in Dostana. John Abraham also played an important role in the film.
