With
the producers’ strike entering
the third week in Bollywood, the worst
affected seems to be the multiplexes.
It looks like both the producers as
well as the multiplex owners are in
no mood to relent. The multiplexes
in Mumbai are seen wearing a desolate
look with the ticket counters almost
empty. According to the multiplexes,
they are incurring a loss of Rs. 1.5
to 2 lakhs per screen. To cut down
the costs, the multiplex owners have
decided to shut down the screens to
save on the electricity, maintenance
and staff salary. |
